Here, you can read a collection of mostly true gambling stories, told to me by Sailor, in his email messages, over the span of three years, 2006 – 2009. The stories are about two men, Sailor and Scarpone, and their escapades during the mid-20^th century. The stories are set in the South. Scarpone was a professional gambler who was known to Sailor and later, Sailor associated with Scarpone acting as his driver and lookout, and now Sailor is the storyteller.

Sailor and Scarpone are fictitious names, the locations where the stories take place may show up on a map, however, they are not where the stories actually occurred. The episodes, for the most part, are derived from Sailor’s email memoirs. A few of the stories are the creations of the author.
